Scholarship Information

Applicants must be of Hellenic descent, and between the ages of 17 and 21, as of May 2011.
 
Seniors enrolled in a state-certified high school, entering an accredited U.S. college or university, along with currently enrolled college and university students for the 2010-2011 school year are eligible to apply. Proof of which may be required.
 
Applicants must have completed at least grades K-6 of a Hellenic language school, or have a certificate of proficiency in modern Greek language.
 
Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic merit achievement in both American and Hellenic schools, character, potential, and financial need.
 
Students receiving a full scholarship from any other source, or a partial scholarship exceeding 50% of their annual tuition are ineligible. 
 
Applicants must submit sealed official school transcripts, three letters of recommendation, and copies of tax returns from the past two years.
 
Return of the award may be required in the event the funds are not used for the purpose intended, or the student discontinues their undergraduate studies.
 
The Scholarship Fund committee reserves the right to amend these guidelines.
